(More customer reviews)Working with weights and being over 60 can be a challenge. Lifing the weights off the floor was a challenge. The Two-Sided Vertical Dumbell Rack was going to be the answer; it was the answer, partially. First of all it was meant for hex or similar dumbells and not the ones with changeable weights. Once you load one dumbell on the top space you cannot use the space directly below as the plates hit each other. So every other space needs to be used. With six slots and using every other one, you are soon at the bottom which is what you tried to avoid lifting from in the first place.
Further, it has quite a large footprint and is quite heavy; much better suited for your health club than your home unless you really have the space to spare.
When the shipper called and indicated the weight (68 pounds) I was going to refuse delivery and have it returned. They also do not tell you up front that to return it without it being damaged in shipment will cost delivery and a 25% of cost charge. The charge to refuse would have been half the original price. But one needs to be aware of that going in not at the end.
It looks good, it serves its purpose and I am using it. My only complaint is that they should also have said up front that dumbells with changeable plates were not meant to be used with this product.
In the end, I'll probably donate it to my athletic center.
