(More customer reviews)I am a life long Oakley sunglass wearer and I recently decided to upgrade my current pair of half jackets. I was debating on flak jackets but after going to the store and trying on the Jawbones I was convinced. Well worth the extra money. I opted for the polarized Polished Black Frame/Red & Persimmon Lens. I was a little nervous about the red polarized lens because my eyes are very light sensitive and given the 18% light transmission i thought it might not block enough light. I usually wear the dark gray polarized lenses on my half jackets that only have 10% transmission. The red lenses are great and block plenty of light so that on bright days i am not bothered by the sunlight and the newest Oakley lenses are spectacular with the clarity of the High Definition Optics. The polarized are great at blocking unwanted glare as well. They also come with the second lenses that I have not tried yet but look good for neutral situations. The jawbones are unbelievably comfortable, even much better than the half and flak jackets. They also have more complete coverage with larger lenses than the previously mentioned sunglasses. I still wear my half jackets occasionally but the Jawbones are well worth the money and I could not be happier with my purchase. To boot they also come with a very nice hard case to keep them well protected.

Oakley\'s legacy of sports performance innovation continues with the new Jawbone. The latest evolution of a coveted design, this frame is like nothing ever seen in the world of sports. Every aspect is engineered around the clarity and protection of High Definition Optics (HDO®). With Oakley\'s new Switchlock Technology, the lower part of the frame rim opens to allow easy access for quick lens changing, letting you optimize performance in any light condition. The revolutionary design holds the lenses with a suspension system so stresses on the frame won\'t affect the optics. The new architecture ensures there\'s nothing to diminish the unbeatable clarity of High Definition Optics(HDO®), and you still get the optimized comfort and fit of a flexible frame design. Oakley engineered a pivoting system with a release mechanism that lets you remove and replace the nose piece with a different size to customize the fit. Instead of hooking the ears like conventional frames, a Three-Point Fit ensures the frame touches the wearer only at the bridge of the nose and the sides of the head. They also combined the proprietary fit with specialized bridge geometry and strategically placed flex zones to give the frame a broad range of flexibility while directing stresses away from the lenses. That way, the optics can do their job without the distortion of subtle bending and bowing.
