New Balance 557 Review

It is too bad that they do not make these in 557 anymore.
Hubby has used them for so long now and they are very comfortable, though they have too much white on them.
They have withstood the test of time, walking, running, hiking, hunting, fishing etc
I bought him two pairs..and since they were worn out(though he still wears them and they show no signs of wear and tear), I decided to get him a third pair..only to find they have been replaced by the 558
So I bought his his usual size 12 and what do you know? They do not fit..they are a trifle small..even though they looked as comfortable as the 557s. I wonder how this has come to be
Anyway, now I cannot find a 558 in a bigger size so we are switching to another kind

A very versatile training shoe, it has remarkable stability for doing squats and other free weight lifts. The sole doesn't compress easily, so energy gets to the bar instead of being absorbed. There is also adequate cushioning for the forefoot and heel. It is light and also excellent for aerobic activities such as jumping rope. It holds its own as a walking shoe and has reflectors front and back. Sweat dries out of this shoe rapidly, so it makes a great all day shoe in the summer. Supportive enough for long periods of standing as well.

Springboost Women's Spirit Training Shoe Review

I use this shoe on both elliptical trainer and in step class. The cushioning in the ball of the foot is good. They seem to run a little long, I had to get 1/2 size smaller than my other exercise shoes. The width seems normal. I have narrow feet and most shoes slip on my heels, but these do not slip at all. They also accommodate my "Good Feet" orthotics. But I still need an extra insole to tighten the fit. I felt funny walking in them for the first few minutes. My legs were definitely more tired after exercising for the first few days. They are now my preferred exercise shoe.

This sporty athletic shoe features an U-Control insole system with the modular insole program, which allows you to gradually adjust the feel of the dorsiflexion by choosing from two interchangeable insoles. These shoes are great for working out in cardio classes where support is needed in the footbed when doing lunge type exercises. For the longest time I've worn Saucony sneakers but only run occasionally and instead mainly do cardio classes and cardio machines. The result was that over time my arch pain (due to over-pronation) became worse and worse until it was nearly too painful to workout. I searched the internet for any information on the best sneakers for arch pain suffers. Every search seemed to keep coming up with running shoes... FINALLY I found some information that stated NEW BALANCE is designed for pronation control.
I'll admit it - I wasn't thrilled with the look of theses New Balance shoes or the thought of wearing this brand. I preferred something a little more colorful and funky. HOWEVER - these shoes ROCK! I workout 5-6 days a week and I love these shoes! They have solved my burning arch issue and have amazing stability in the footbed. I was impressed with the padding thickness of the insole (best I've seen) but I still use my own higher grade insole which fit perfectly in these shoes!

I've been wearing New Balance's top-of-line cross-trainlng shoes with great satisfaction for many years, always purchasing whatever is the latest model available. So when I needed a new pair recently, the MX1210 was the no-brainer choice for me. Unfortunately, it would appear that "no brain" was used in the design of these shoes. Support, which has been a key feature of my previous NB cross-trainers, is nearly non-existent in the MX1210"s mostly all-mesh upper, and I find myself battling for stability when doing exercises like squats and weighted lunges. In fact, I'd go so far as to say that the lack of support and stability in this shoe could ultimately result in an injury when doing any kind of weight-bearing training.
In addition to the above issue, there were also quality control problems which I've not seen before in an expensive NB top-of-the-line shoe. Not only was my right shoe visibly sewn differently than the left shoe (even the 'N' logo was larger on the right than the left), but the shoes had a noticeably different fit, despite being sized the same. It was almost as if left shoes came from a different factory than right shoes. What's up New Balance??
Unfortunately, the full measure of my unhappiness with these shoes only became apparent after a few wearings, so I'm stuck with them now, but if this review prevents you from making the same mistake, then it has been well worth the time to write it.
Thanks for taking the time to read it, and I hope this info helps with your purchase decision.

Excellent deal!! Ecco shoes are the only shoes I would buy without trying them on. Make sure you know your Euro foot size. I wear a 9 1/2 shoe = 43 in Eccos. Really comfortable!

I bought this shoe, because I do a fair amount of high impact aerobic exercise (Tae Bo Boot Camp series, P90X, and Insanity). This shoe provides great cushion for my feet, and helps protect my knees when doing all that jumping and lateral movement. For awhile, I was just using my running shoes to do the aerobic exercise in, but after using this shoe, I noticed the balls of my feet didn't hurt anymore, as well as my knees. If you're looking for a good training shoe, this is the one to buy.

Just received these and put them on. They fit like a glove and are true to size as are all New Balance shoes I've ever bought. I have a pair of the MR1011's that I have used for circuit training this last year. They will be relegated to everyday shoes and the MX1011"s will be for the workouts. Can't wait to use them tomorrow!

The Mx1011 training shoe is the sort of no-holds barred shoe you'd expect from New Balanace. An "extended web" is a structured lightweight arch support that extends into the medial heel and provides midfoot rigidity and medial rearfoot support.
