Do you know the phrase "you recognize quality when you see it"? Well, this is one of those products. My first reaction when I got it out of the box was wow, I made the right choice!
It is very well built (and even pretty) and it holds my bikes with no problem. Probably it is not as stable as the professional stands that are bolted to the shop floor but is significantly more stable than the Spin Dr and Park (PCS 9-10-11) stands I saw in the stores.
Notes:
1.Unfolding the three legs requires some practice but is easy to do after you learn how to do it. Just flip the stand upside down, slightly spread the three legs in the same direction (e.g. counter clockwise) and then hold two legs and spread them apart. After a short practice, this should not take more than few seconds.
2.The model I got came with a nice black bag. Note that the bag handles are not at the center of the bag. When you place the stand inside the bag, make sure to place its head on the shorter side of the bag. This will provide a perfect balance when you carry it.
3.The one hand tightening mechanism works very well when you hold the bike in the other hand. Just push the small screw in for the ratchet action and then turn it clockwise to tighten.
4.This stand can be raised very high. As the manual says, if you raise it high (I typically don't) and/or have heavy bike, you want to turn the head such that it is above one of the three legs.
Overall it is a very good product and I would definitely recommended it to a friend.
