This is my second large order from Bayou fitness in the past 3 years and so far no problem with them. I will come back to Bayou fitness because they seem to always have the best price, free shipping & no taxes. Also good quality equipment. Just wish they carried more/different companies.
BodySolid - leg press/hack squat machine. Took less than 6 hours for me and wifey to uncrate, organize, assemble & cleanup. The package was short some nuts and screws. We ended going to Home Depot rather make this a big issue w/BodySolid. This is our second large piece of equipment and BodySolid ultimately backups their 100% warranty for broken equipment is why I purchased the latest unit from them. The unit works very well so far. I'm pressing eight 45's and like the smoothness and stability. I'm 6'5 and my wife is 5'7" and so the unit is height friendly. The pull pin is in a weird spot but we work with it making adjustments to it under the foot pad. The footprint is much smaller than what you will find in most gyms yet it doesn't want for quality. Overall my wife and I are pleased with the overall performance. The hack squat and calf press works as advertised. Hack squats are smooth and effortless. We hesitate to give the unit 5STARS because (1) we haven't had the unit very long, (2) it lacked minor but necessary pieces and (3) the cushions could have been better quality.

Giant Vertical Leg Press Review

The nuts and bolts all were lubticated, the holes all lined up where they should and the instructions were well drawn and easy to follow. The leg press machine it self is sturdy and well built. As for the other customer that said something about the leg press not moving up and down, if you put weight on it it works fine. I first tried it with just 90 lbs. on it and it went up and down fine. Though I do have to scoot forward a little to make sure I am pushing straight up. If you try and push at an angle it won't work because it's a VERTICAL leg press. As long as you push straight up it moves nice and smooth, especially with more weight on it. This is rated for 600lbs, I have put over 350 lbs. on this and it still seems very sturdy. The one thing you should know is that although it looks like in the picture the post are olympic size (and I thought somewhere in the description it said that they were) they are actually the smaller posts for the non olympic weights. This actually works out good because you can use olympic or regualar size weights on it.

I needed an apparatus that worked my legs and would fit into the limited space of my home's downstairs. Since receiving the leg press, I have used the item for about a month, and I am completely satisfied with it. First of all, it was easy to put together. Like the my other Body Solid Home Gym, there were no written instruction on how to put the leg press together - only diagrams. But these were sufficient to get the job done. It's very easy to assume a prone squat position under the weight bar, as well as very comfortable. Placement of my feet on the foot plate above was easily accomplished and keeps my feet in a secure and comfortable position during my leg press. There are three adjustable "support pin" holes on each of the vertical weight support tubes, that allow a lifter to initially mount the machine in a quarter squat position, according to their height and leg length. These pins are easily removed during exercise, so that the lifter can go through any range of motion they want. I am a shorter lifter (5' 8") and have no trouble starting at a quarter squat position, extending my legs before I begin a set, removing the pins, and going to a 3/4 squat position. In my opinion, a taller lifter would have no problems, since I am using the lowest "support pin" hole position and there are two more positions above the ones I use. Replacing the pins after a set of leg presses is easy, although I could imagine it being slightly difficult if the lifter was performing maximum repetitions (making sure the pins are set horizontally through the hole when fatigued). Without weights on the bar, this leg press machine was a bit "squeaky". But the addition of weight, quieted the machine. To end this review, I am very satisfied and happy with my purchase.

(More customer reviews)I have the older version of this piece of equipment. It does what it does very well, but really, this is quite expensive for one exercise. However, it is handy to have to break up the monotony of doing squats all the time, even though squats are a better exercise for your entire body.
Works well. Well built. Just a bit expensive for one exercise. Also, if you are pressed for space with your Bodycraft Xpress, this does take up a LOT more space.
Other than cost, however, I have no complaints. It is a very well built piece of equipment.

(More customer reviews)Bought this on Amazon through Pro Therapy Sales. I contacted the manufacturer because after I assembled it would not slide correctly. Got no response via phone and then emailed them a few days later. They did respond but basically said not their problem, contact the seller.... and since I got it off of Amazon it was probably used (it was not- brand new in the box from Yukon). Once I did get Pro Therapy to respond to me they contacted the factory to call me on a day promised. They did not and the seller had to contact me and Yukon again. A Yukon rep tried to help me with several ways to fix it but it never really worked. It does not function smoothly and at all what I expected. I wanted to return and they tried to send a replacement which I did not want. Still trying to get a refund. If you buy this product you will be sorry...the seller and the manufacturer need to learn what good customer service is. For the price and effort involved to assemble you would expect quality and good customer service.

Husky Hip and Leg Sled Machine Review

(More customer reviews)The weight sled did not move up and down freely and the bolts needed to be loosened all the way to get the sled unstuck. So now it moves but it wobbles side to side. I selected this device since it was wider than the others out there in the same price range and has the same look as the ones in the gym. Since it is an convertible from leg press to hack squat the pad for the feet rocks back and forth which is very annoying along with the seat back moves around. It has poor design features and quality over all
