(More customer reviews)I wanted to replace my old Proform adjustable stride elliptical for one with a better warranty and a truer elliptical shaped motion. My budget was under $999 and I would be placing the machine in a basement with a low ceiling. I was leaning towards a Sole E25 until I tested one at Dicks Sporting Goods and realized there would not be enough head space. I ended up purchasing the Spirit Esprit EL255 18-Inch Stride Elliptical. It fit the ceiling height, is very similar to the Sole, has a great warranty and quite a few bells and whistles. I ended up purchasing it at Play It Again Sports because it was on sale for $[...] less than Amazon. I paid $[...] for assembly and delivery and also bought the extended warranty because I use the elliptical daily and it really takes a pounding. The machine is very sturdy and stable, totally quiet and the motion is elliptical, not up and down like some cheaper ellipticals. Getting used to the flywheel being in front, instead of the rear was not a problem for me. I find the 18 inch stride adequate but someone of above average height might find the stride too short. This is a great elliptical with a lot of quality and features.
