It is definitely not characteristic of how a $[...] exercise machine should operate. The action is harsh and very unsmooth. Friction is apparent to the point where I had to wait for the handle attachment to "catch-up" with my hands. I have used $[...] weight machines that operated more smoothly. I contacted the manufacturer, Body Flex Sports, and emailed them many pictures and vidoes to see if I had assembled something incorrectly. I was told that I had assembled it correctly, but that the machine "is what it is" and there was nothing they could or would do. Very disappointing and frustrating. I would not recommend this machine to anyone. The only positive thing about this whole transaction has been Amazom[...]. The unit was originally shipped to the wrong address, and was missing parts but all in all Amazon has come through and made it right.
