I spotted these shoes on one of the many barefoot running blogs and websites and couldn't wait to get a hold of them. I have slowly transitioned to barefoot running like so many thousands of others who were inspired by "Born to Run," and while I'm very far from becoming an shoeless Ultra Marathoner, I am a dedicated convert. Since retraining my feet and lower legs in my Vibram Five Fingers, the rest of the expensive outdoorsy cushioned shoes in my closet just feel terrible. My hope for these Merrell Pace Gloves is to have a shoe to wear when I'm not running that complements all of the benefit I have received from running in Vibram Five Fingers. Out of the box, these shoes are extremely light weight with the look and feel of a high quality Merrell product and I'm very happy with the look of the Chili Pepper color. I can definitely wear these as a casual shoe with a nicer outfit and feel great about the style. In slipping them on, the soles are very flexible and followed the point and flex of my foot and there are minimal seams on the inside. At first, they seemed long in the toes, which didn't make sense because I always wear a 7 1/2 in Merrells, but this is obviously on purpose. The width of the ball of my foot perfectly fit into the contours of the sole and the extra length allowed for spread of my toes within my stide -- this is very important and I am actually quite impressed with how well this was accomplished. I walked around the house and hopped on the treadmill for a few minutes and the shoes successfully encourange me to support my weight through the ball of my foot with a forefoot/midfoot strike. They were very comfortable while running and my toes still had room to spread without constriction. So far, these seem like an outstanding shoe!

Pearl Izumi Women's Pearl Thermal Hoody Review

(More customer reviews)I am a Lululemon fanatic... but I really do not like thumb holes! so I don't buy any of their new jackets/hoodies. I bought this jacket to cycle in the Las Vegas winter weather and it has a good warmth to it. I can see my self using it daily to bike to and from school. It's a little short on the sleeves and torso for me, Im 5'11.
I would have loved to have a neck protector for the zipper (becareful not to zip your neck when you go to zip up your jacket!
The features on the jacket are snap buttons and both the buttons and the zipper are good quality.
I give it 4 stars because the zipper is very stiff and requires 2 hands to unzip, so as a biker I have to stop to unzip when I start to get too warm. Also the jacket is small in the breast area and big in the stomach area, giving that pregnant look when your bent over your bike cycling. BTW the black is more of a very dark heathered grey.
Over all Im happy with it though. Hope this helps!

Men's Merrell Barefoot Trail Glove Review

(More customer reviews)Ever since my KSO Treks disappeared a few months ago while travelling(TSA?) I have been back in the market for zero drop shoes. I loved my KSO's and was seriously considering getting another pair; however,I decided to look at some alternatives on different web sites and came across Merrell's bare foot running shoe's. I had to wait a bit, but now that I finally have a pair, I can tell you that it was totally worth it.
Before I start, I'll just preface this with the fact that I am not savvy on all of the lingo and dynamics of how these shoes are built and I am not a running snob. I run on and off trail 5 days a week, usually less than 6 miles, more intervals than distance work. I lift frequently too, and a neutral shoe helps save the knees with dead lifts and squats. That's what I use my shoes for, just to give you an idea of what I base my opinion off of.
First impressions: clean, simple, and lightweight.
Size: I wear a 10.5 M and so I ordered a 10.5 M and it fits perfect, with or without running socks. There is ample room in the toe box for your toes to splay. The lacing allows for a more custom/glove-like fit.
Comfort: It fits like a glove, nothing digs into my toes, heal or the top of my foot, just comfortable.
Performance: I took them out for 3 mile run right after I received them and was blown away. They felt good. My feet stayed snug in the shoes, I had adequate traction on mud and gravel laden turns on the trail and true to their barefoot tag, my feet were forefoot striking the whole way. The shoes incorporate a fair amount of mesh, so puddle splashes did cause my feet to get damp. Having already put a fair amount of mileage in the KSO Treks, I will add in my thoughts about how the Merrell Trail Glove stacks up:
The Trail Glove fits more like a glove that the slipper like KSO Trek, mostly because of the lacing system. The Trail Glove and KSO Treks are both lightweight, I haven't checked the spec's to compare, but they are both minimalist shoes so its probably not a huge difference. The separate toes in the KSO Trek's and other Five Finger line-up is a novel design (maybe not since it is just modeled after the human foot), but I don't think it adds any advantages to running that the Trail Glove doesn't, aside from being goofy looking, getting dandelions caught between your toes, stubbing your toes and the ability to grab things with your toes to impress your friends. I think the Trail glove is more protective and more comfortable than the KSO Treks and you don't have to train your toes to fit into individual pockets. If you like the Five Fingers, that's fine, I ran with them for a while and liked them a lot, until I tried these bad boys.
As far as durability and long term wear goes, I'd refer you to other running blogs of those who've test driven the Merrel Trail gloves before they were released to people like me.

Sugoi Women's Versa Jacket Review

(More customer reviews)I absolutely love this running jacket! I bought it in white and I love it because it makes you more visible in darker conditions. It is really lightweight, so it is comfortable to wear in the 50's and below. It really protects from the wind well. The zipper does not rub my chin. The pockets are easy to access when running. And my absolute favorite aspect is that the sleeves come off to convert it into a vest so that you can wear it when it's a little warmer and you don't need arm protection from wind or rain, etc. I look forward to cool days now because I get to wear this jacket. I hate leaving home without it!

Zoot Sports Unisex Adult Crx Active Tight Review

(More customer reviews)I purchased these tights for a few reasons, but make no mistake, I'm not a pro runner who needs enhanced performance. Overall they feel great and the zipper at the ankles allows you to unzip an inch if it's too tight at the base - a big plus for me, and I found no signs of ankle swelling after wearing them for 3 hours. The knees have less compression to allow you to bend your knee without resistance, and the inner thighs are breathable for longer runs.
My only issue with these tights is that no matter how hard I pull on them, the crotch is an inch too low - something I'm used to as a taller woman who purchases size B pantyhose, but not something I want the general public to see!
Additionally, pulling them up as high as possible means that the "flexible kneecap area" is a little too high on my knees, and the compression of the tights made my knee feel unstable while I was running because the tights pushed my kneecaps up and over a little.
I'll keep using them, but I wish they came in my size.

Aetrex Women's Z581W Zoom Running Shoe Review

(More customer reviews)I have tried to wear these shoes but they are so narrow, the shoe cuts into the side of my foot. The shoe lace is so short I can't tie it unless I take the lace out of the top three holes. I called customer service to tell them they should check their laces. The first person I got was so bored and tired (I guess) that I just wanted to throw my too-narrow shoes at her to get her attention. Since I was not calling for customer service (a good thing, since she didn't have any), but just to tell them their laces need to be longer, I asked to speak to her supervisor. The next woman was much more polite and interested and said she would send me longer laces. The first woman said I needed to go to the store and buy longer laces!!I have worn the shoes outside,so I guess they are mine forever. They are the narrowest wide shoes I have ever bought and have laces to fit a child's shoe.

Sugoi Women's Firewall 220 Zip Jackets Review

(More customer reviews)I love this jacket. Originally I purchased and returned it to a running store, having felt profound buyer's remorse at purchasing a $180 running jacket. I'm a novice runner and didn't think I'd earned it yet. When I saw the pink one on Amazon for $70 less, I purchased it. I'd tried on every running jacket out there in the hopes of finding the perfect one. Perfect for me meant light but warm, stretchy, good fit, and zip side pockets (for gloves). Ideally, it also meant an inside pocket where I could keep my iphone and have the earphone cord run up from the inside rather than the outside. This was the first jacket that had everything I wanted AND fit me. Almost every other jacket, I had to go up to a large to fit over my hips. My hips are big, but they're not gargantuan! Going up to a large meant the fit was too big everywhere else! This jacket fits perfectly in a medium. What is absolutely astounding is that it is lighter than cold weather running shirt. It weighs next to nothing. And I've gone out running in weather around 20 degrees and been perfectly comfortable. I'm sure I could go out and be comfy in even colder weather. It's wind and water resistant without having that non-stretchy wind resistant fabric you normally see in jackets that offer weather resistance. It's more like technical fabric. That must be why it's so pricey. It's practically magic that Sugoi could make a jacket that feels like nothing but offers everything. If you are a runner who enjoys winter running, you won't be disappointed. I haven't worn it yet in weather warmer than 40, but I suspect it will fare well when it's not super cold.
