ZOOT Ultra Tempo Plus 2.0 Running Shoe - Women's Review

I ordered these shoes as a splurge for myself. I am very happy with them so far. I have worn them on the treadmill and elliptical. They are very stable and supportive. I was not sure about running barefoot, but they are very comfortable without socks and my feet don't slide around in them when sweaty. Weather here is still pretty chilly, so I haven't had them out beating the pavement, yet.

These are the best running shoes I've ever owned. As to the other reviewer's issue of getting holes in his Achilles I suppose it depends on how they fit your feet. They fit my feet great and I've never had issues wearing them with or without socks. Also, I never wear a new pair of shoes (or make any changes to my running) on a long run without a transition period but these were more comfortable out of the box than any other pair I've ever owned.
I mostly wear them running on sidewalks or on the track. I typically use them for 3.5-10 mile training runs (almost always after riding). I used them for a half ironman race that was running on grass/gravel. It rained during the ride and so the grass was wet and they seemed to collect more water than drained out of them.
Some folks (including Zoot) say they aren't for full marathons but I think they're fine. Lots of folks also advocate barefoot running and while I'm not willing to do that I think these are fine if you have good form - and IMHO if you don't have good form you should work on your form not buy special shoes. I do like to run on a track when I can though.
I got a pair of Zoot Energy's and I like the Ultra Race 2.0's much better.
Pros:
+ Good arch support - not sure if it's the carbon or what but these just feel better than any other shoes I've tried without some kind of insert
+ Great fit
+ Light weight
+ You can wear them with or without socks
+ Easy on with the gripper holes in the heel and tongue
+ Quick lock lacing
+ There's no separate tongue to get in the way and be uncomfortable - the top is separate materials but it's one piece
Cons
+ They aren't very durable - not that they fell apart too quickly, they just are made to be ultra light, not to be ultra durable
+ On wet surfaces drainage holes let in as much water as drains out

Zoot Sports Unisex Adult Crx Active Tight Review

I purchased these tights for a few reasons, but make no mistake, I'm not a pro runner who needs enhanced performance. Overall they feel great and the zipper at the ankles allows you to unzip an inch if it's too tight at the base - a big plus for me, and I found no signs of ankle swelling after wearing them for 3 hours. The knees have less compression to allow you to bend your knee without resistance, and the inner thighs are breathable for longer runs.
My only issue with these tights is that no matter how hard I pull on them, the crotch is an inch too low - something I'm used to as a taller woman who purchases size B pantyhose, but not something I want the general public to see!
Additionally, pulling them up as high as possible means that the "flexible kneecap area" is a little too high on my knees, and the compression of the tights made my knee feel unstable while I was running because the tights pushed my kneecaps up and over a little.
I'll keep using them, but I wish they came in my size.
