Giant Vertical Leg Press Review

This product was one of the easiest things to assemble I have ever done. The nuts and bolts all were lubticated, the holes all lined up where they should and the instructions were well drawn and easy to follow. The leg press machine it self is sturdy and well built. As for the other customer that said something about the leg press not moving up and down, if you put weight on it it works fine. I first tried it with just 90 lbs. on it and it went up and down fine. Though I do have to scoot forward a little to make sure I am pushing straight up. If you try and push at an angle it won't work because it's a VERTICAL leg press. As long as you push straight up it moves nice and smooth, especially with more weight on it. This is rated for 600lbs, I have put over 350 lbs. on this and it still seems very sturdy. The one thing you should know is that although it looks like in the picture the post are olympic size (and I thought somewhere in the description it said that they were) they are actually the smaller posts for the non olympic weights. This actually works out good because you can use olympic or regualar size weights on it.

Powertec L-SC Leverage Squat / Calf Review

Very happy with this product! Walking around like a sore stick man today, and those of you that do squats know what Im talking about. :) Very sturdy, easy to assemble, but I need to quantify. At a minimum you will need a decent wrench set and prefferably a 1/2 in ratchet with SAE sockets. 3/8 ths would work but these are some BIG bolts on this thing! Another person is absolutely neccessary for one small part, but not a bruiser needed, wife or kid or girlfriend can do it. As far as the excercise, its wonderful! Im too old, 53 to be playing with as heavy of weights as I need for free squats anymore. I can do them, but I worry about an injury and healing time now. I loaded this bear up with 360 pounds and got busy, knocking out a couple of sets of eight....Smooth, felt very secure, confidence helped me to push myself harder than I can anymore with free squats. Did calves also; no problem here, but went heavy enough, that I may put a towel or something between me and the pads, for extra cushion until the pads get broken in a bit. Great machine, will let me do things I always wanted to be able to do at home. If you want a big chest, back or arms, and I mean truly big, You MUST do squats, they are the foundation for any truly serious bodybuilder.

The squat has always been the best lower body exercise around, but until the development of the Powertec L-SQ leverage squat machine, it's been difficult and a little dangerous. The leverage squat machine, by contrast, duplicates the precise pattern of the squat, but employs a lever arm rather than a bar. Thus, you receive the natural plate resistance of the free weight, but with the control and safety of a machine. The L-SQ also offers a footplate set at a comfortable angle, letting you take all the stress off the knees and lower back. And thanks to the start/stop handle, the exercise will always begin and end in the top position. Also ideal for working the calves, the L-SQ measures 48 by 60 by 60 inches (W x H x D), weighs 188 pounds, and carries the following warranties: lifetime on the frame, two years on component parts (such as bearings and spring pins), and one year on pads and grips. All plates are sold separately.
Specifications:
Model: L-SQ
Length: 60 inches
Width: 48 inches
Height: 60 inches
Weight: 188 pounds

Manufacturer's Warranty Frame - lifetime, component parts - two years, pads and grips - one year

Magnetic Recumbent Bike Review

This product is virtually 100% plastic. If you're over 6 feet tall(I am 6 and a half feet tall) then you're going to have some difficulty with using it. I have had it since February and have used it only a couple dozen times due to the fact that I am a full time student and take summer classes and it's already falling apart. It does do okay when I try to use it but it is wobbly even though it was put together correctly (only a tiny metal bar connects the seat to the peddles). Assembly is simple with one exception, the resistance cord requires one to have either A) amazing upper body strength and teeth that are incredibly durable or B)2 people with average upper body strength pulling it in opposite directions while a third person tries to get it into the slit that it connects to. You are probably better of buying your exercise equipment from your local Walmart.

I had reconstructive spinal surgery and have constant pain. This piece of equipment(I also purchased the shoulder flex and the bike attachments) is by far the least expensive and best, easiest to use, good for people in almost any physical condition, I have ever owned. Over the last 14 yrs I have spent thousands, treadmill, Nu step etc. Nothing comes close to this in variety of exercises and ease of use.
